About Rick Waite
A cum laude graduate of Harvard with a law degree from the University of San Diego, Rick brings a unique background and skill set to New Wave Real Estate, where he is owner and broker of record. He is also an active attorney and partner with the prominent law firm of Keeney Waite & Stevens.
In these roles, he has represented clients in the sale of over $1 billion in real estate, including single-family homes, apartments, condominiums, industrial, land and retail properties. He also manages his own real estate investment portfolio with diverse properties throughout San Diego’s coastal North County.
As an attorney, he has litigated complex real estate and business cases, serious personal injury, wrongful death and class action cases, and collected over $100 million in judgments for his clients. He is an expert negotiator and documentarian and a zealous advocate for his clients, all while maintaining the highest ethical standards, which have earned him the AV rating by the Martindale-Hubbel organization, the highest designation that can be conferred upon an attorney.
In addition to his entrepreneurial spirit, his passions include daily journaling, surfing, international travel, writing articles for legal publications, teaching meditation and helping individuals achieve meaningful change through life coaching. He currently resides in Del Mar.
